This is definitely not a comprehensive list, but these are the items I use on a very regular basis year around. All of these items can be used car camping and I do not leave home for an adventure without them. If you are looking for what to wear on your adventures, check my clothing list out!
1. Kelty Grand Mesa 2 Tent
If you ever see me in a tent, it will most likely be this tent. Coming in at only $100, this tent is an insane bang for your buck. I have taken this tent everywhere you could possibly imagine in all conditions and it has held up great. This tent has kept me dry in substantial rain storms and winter flurries. The tent is only 4 pounds and comes with a convenient vestibule to keep your dirty gear outside and dry.
2. Enlightened Equipment Enigma Down Quilt
I wanted something that could handle three seasons comfortably while being lightweight. I ended up custom ordering an enigma quilt from Enlightened Equipment and I could not be happier with the product I received. This quilt is amazing for camping in the summer when it’s super hot or bundling up on a cold fall night. This quilt can be used as a blanket with a toe box or a fully unclosed cocoon. You just need to try it out for yourself, it’s indescribable.
3. Big Agnes Air Core Insulated Sleeping Pad
I have had this inflatable pad for 3 years and it is still going strong. I use this all 4 seasons and it always seems to do the trick. It isn’t the smallest sleeping pad, or the lightest, but it is very durable. Waking up to a flat sleeping pad is the worst which is why I would recommend investing in a solid pad like the Air Core.
4. Patagonia Black Hole Duffel Bag 70L
The Patagonia Black Hole Duffel works miracles. I like to just toss all of my stuff into this puppy and forget about it. This bag will keep your gear dry through rain, snow, and mud like no other. After having this bag for four plus years, it is showing no signs of abuse (I abuse it). I’m planning on writing a full review on this bag in the near future because of how cool it is.
5. Blackstone Adventure Ready Griddle
Do you want to impress all of the dads at the ski hill? That’s why I got this grill. The grill ended up actually being very useful and I would totally recommend it for tailgating or camping. It is a perfect set up to cook for 2 or 3 people. The heat distribution is great and the black stone portion is really good quality.
